This video mainly shows a lecture delivered by Lucinda Williams Adams, an Olympic gold medalist and a Springfield College Honorary degree recipient in 1998. The lecture was part of the event entitled "Springfield College and the Olympics" which was held on November 7, 2007. Before the lecture, SC Provost and Vice President Jean Wyld introduced SC alumna and faculty member Dr. Mimi Murray, who then gave an introduction of the "Springfield College and the Olympics" event. The event was part of a series that Dr. Mimi Murray put on when she was Springfield College's Distinguished Professor of Humanics in 2007-2008.
