The photograph could be taken during practice since the athletes were not wearing bib numbers. Kristen is on the right side of the photograph and another athlete can be seen on the left. Kristen is wearing a Springfield College track singlet. Blurred people can be seen behind her. Kristen Donato (later changed her last name to Mayday) is one of the best athletes in the history of Springfield College. She earned her BS degree in physical education in 1997 at Springfield College and her MS degree in 2000 at Loras College. She was the fifth athlete from Springfield College to be named NECAC Athlete of the Year. In her senior year, she collected All-America honors in four events (400-meter dash, 55-meter high hurdles, 1,600-meter relay and heptathlon). She also earned Springfield's Female Athletes of the Year award for three years straight and was named to the 1997 GTE Academic All-America Spring At-Large third team. On the back of the photograph there are two labels. One says "Springfield College Kristen Donato" and the other says "Track/field All-American Kristen Donato was selected the 1996-97 New England College Athletic Conference Division III Female 'Athlete-of-the-Year.'"
