A photograph of Kristen Donato, a Springfield College athlete during a relay race. Kristen is in the middle of two other racers and holding a relay baton with her right hand. It is believed that the photograph was taken in NCAA Division III Championships at Smith College in 1996 according to the bib numbers athletes were wearing. Kristen is wearing a Springfield College track singlet with number 80 on the front. Kristen Donato (later changed her last name to Mayday) is one of the best athletes in the history of Springfield College. She earned her BS degree in physical education in 1997 at Springfield College and her MS degree in 2000 at Loras College. She was the fifth athlete from Springfield College to be named NECAC Athlete of the Year. In her senior year, she collected All-America honors in four events (400-meter dash, 55-meter high hurdles, 1,600-meter relay and heptathlon). She also earned Springfield's Female Athletes of the Year award for three years straight and was named to the 1997 GTE Academic All-America Spring At-Large third team. On the back of the photograph there are two labels. One says "Springfield College Kristen Donato" and the other has Ben Barnhart's mailing address and phone number on it.
