Reunion Triangle, 1900
Item Information
- Title:
- Reunion Triangle, 1900
- Description:
-
The Class of 1895 of the International Young Men’s Christian Training School published “Reunion Triangle, 1900” to correct the “many defects” of their initial graduation publication. In the introduction, they write that the original publication had “some sense and much nonsense.” The book is dedicated to Jacob T. Bowne, Springfield College’s first librarian. “Reunion Triangle, 1900” includes the history of the school (including summer schools, conferences, and correspondence courses), physical department, pentathlon, educational scope, library, army work (including volunteerism in the Spanish-American War), literary societies, international influence, and financial records. It also includes a list of students who attended summer school sessions between 1887 and 1891, as well as photographs of classes, buildings, facilities, and faculty. The pages are fragile and some are ripped.
