This is a yearbook or class book for the Class of 1892 at the International YMCA Training School, now known as Springfield College. It is called "Biographies and Prophecy Class of 1892." It consists of autobiographies and biographies written about the graduating members of the Class of 1892 and a section called " Prophecy of the Class of '92 of the International Young Men's Christian Association Training School " The prophecy is hand-written and speaks of each class member and what happens in the future and may have been written later as on the top of this section there is a handwritten note that says "From WH Davis May 1899." The class of 1892 is notable in that there are many of the men who played in the first game of Basketball created by James Naismith in 1891. Physical Object; Text;. This volume was in rough shape, with pages starting to tear and rip at crease in center of pages (most've been folded before binding). The text block was taken out of its binding and the individual pages were put into mylar sleeves to ensure they stay together.
