This is a photograph of Springfield College's Pratt Field. In this photo can be seen homes outside of the field in the background, bleachers, a field goal post, soccer goal posts, and trees surrounding the field across the photo. Pratt Field was a gift of Mr. Herbert L. Pratt. A reinforced concrete fence that was eight feet high surrounded the field. It consisted, originally, of a quarter-mile track, 220 yard straightaway twenty-four feet wide, eleven runaways and pits for jumping and vaulting, seven tennis courts, a football field, and a baseball diamond. Part of Pratt field is still used today for track and field, however the name was changed to Blake Field.
