This hand-colored lantern slide shows an aerial view of the International YMCA College, now known as Springfield College. Lake Massasoit is visible on the right side. Older catalogue records list this item as part of a series of images published by Springfield College in a 1930s recruitment pamphlet with two titles: “A Cinema of Springfield College” and “Being the story of a Young Man who elects to go to Springfield College.” However, this image is in neither pamphlet. It may have been used in a similar lantern slide presentation to recruit prospective students.
