This is Springfield College news release titled, "Springfield's Dottie Zenaty named National Division I Field Hocky 'Coach-of-the-year'". It was released on December 20, 1990. The release talks about how Springfield College head field hockey coach, Dottie Zenaty, was named "Coach-of-the-year" by the 1990 College Field Hcokey Coaches Association (CHHCA) Division 1. There is some biographical and historical coaching information given on Coach Zenaty as well as some information on the past seasons for the Field Hockey. At the bottom of the release is also information on Sharon Goldbrenner of Trenton State who was voted as the Division III "Coach-of-the-year" in field hockey. Dottie Zenaty (Dorothy J. Potter) graduated Springfield College in 1965. As a student, she was a member of the tennis, field hockey, softball, and basketball teams. Zenaty then served as the head field hockey coach for thirty-four seasons, during which she coached more matches than any other coach in college field hockey history. With a record of 377-233-43 (.610 winning percentage), she also won more matches than any coach in New England and ranks fifth on college field hockey’s all-time victory list. In 1988, Zenaty assisted with the selection of the U.S. Olympic Team. The following year, she served as an assistant coach for the U.S. Junior Under-21 Team that competed in the first World Cup Championship and coached the Junior National squad in the Pan-American Games. She has coached in five U.S. Olympic Sports Festivals and supervised four NCAA Division I Championships. Zenaty retired in 2004 and was inducted into the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Hall of Fame that year.
