Description:
A photograph of a Springfield College baseball player catching a ball from 1915. The player is in a baseball uniform on a field with trees in the background. There are a few people in the background who seem to be the coach, umpire, or other players. This may have been on the old South Field behind Judd Gymnasia on the campus of Springfield College. In 1915, they went 10-4-0 and were coached by Elmer Berry. Berry coached a total of ten seasons (1915-1917, 1919-1923, 1925-1926) and had an overall all record of 79-62-0 with a .560 winning percentage.
