A silent, black and white 16mm film showing Springfield College gymnasts performing on the rings. The film is four minutes and forty-five seconds long. The first section just shows the gymnast on the rings with head coach Frank Wolcott assisting. Starting around 56 seconds, the film shifts to Springfield College gymnasts performing on the rings during a competition. Spectators fill the stands behind. Judges sit in chairs on either side. Other SC gymnasts sit on chairs by the side of the performance area. A number of gymnasts perform. According to the writing on the original film reel case these performances took place during a match against the US Army in 1946. For biographical information on Frank Wolcott, see: https://springfield.as.atlas-sys.com/agents/people/54. Technicians who cleaned and digitized film, wrote, "covered in mold (?) dust. odor. upside down on reel. warped/shrunken. loose splices."; Written on the reel case was "1964 Rings SC US Army."; Original metal casing and reel were replaced during restoration and digitization.;
