A typed copy of a letter from Charles D. Todd to Laurence L. Doggett, the President of Springfield College dated May 15, 1918. The letter talks of a photograph he has sent and how he is not going to be able to attend the commencement. Charles D. Todd (1892-1977) was born in Middletown, NY. He atteneded Springfield, Mass., Technical High School and graduated from Springfield college with a B.P.E. degree class of 1918. He did graduate work at New York University and served in the Navy during World War I. He was very active in organizing American Legion, V.F.W. and Masonic orders receiving numerous awards. This document/photograph was contained within an envelope held in the back of the scrapbook. It has been removed and placed within a folder in the back of the scrapbook.;
