The article describes the killing of Dr. Robert J. Conklin, a Springfield College professor of English, and Prof. Marvin Pittman of Chicago, in the Ifugao region in the Philippines. They were stabbed to death around Christmas of 1949. According to the paper the motive was robbery. There is also a long description of the life of Dr. Conklin.
