This is a photograph of the participants in the Hi-Y Symposium on the Heroes of Peace, taken at the Student Day Program celebrating the 49th Anniversary of the YMCA of the Philippines. The photograph might have been taken on December 3, 1949 at the Jose Abad Sants Building of the Central YMCA in Manila. Men are all in a line on a stage in front of Banners. Slightly to the left of the center, with a Hi-Y banner behind him, is Robert J. Conklin, a professor of English at Springfield College. To his right was Cornelio Balmaceda, the secretary of Commerce and Industry of the Philippines. The fifth man from the left is Bonifacio L. Amor, the Public Relations Secretary of the YMCA of the Philippines. Information on who was in the photo and the event they participated comes from the letter from Bonifacio L. Amor to Paul Limbert dated March 17, 1952.
