The shoe was made by Field and Flint & Company of Brockton Massachusetts (today known as Footjoy). The shoe is made out of clear heavy plastic. For more information on Peter V. Karpovich for use in experiments funded by the United States Army that investigated physiological and kinesiological methods for testing footgear. His research centered on experiments investigating the physiological and kinesiological aspects of footwear and how they can be improved for comfort.
