Description:
This report is titled "Report of the faculty committee on fraternities" and was written March 13, 1917. This document was formed by a committee of Springfield College, at the time known as the International YMCA College, officials: Hanford M. Burr, Dr James H. McCurdy, Walter J. Campbell, and Laurence L. Doggett. The committee determined that fraternities were not in the best interest of the college and for the next school year, there will be no fraternities that are recognized by the college as an official association. The committee made further reports on the importance of any student organized activity must be overseen by the Student Association. For more information on L.L.
