Traditions, Cage Ball Rush, Rope Pull, and Pep Rallies are but a few of the activities that the Varsity "S" Club has charge of. The Club's primary purpose is to uphold the prestige of the Springfield College varsity letter. The Club is a an organization open only to members of varsity teams. On the back of the photograph, "Scanned image", "Varsity Club" 1939-40", and names of the students in the photograph are written.
