A photograph of the 1965 Springfield College men's basketball team as they are about to enter a plane for Paris on the World Tour. The airline was Pan American. There is a stewardess stands at the top of the stairs. A large banner is being help up in front of them proclaiming that Springfield College is the Birthplace of Basketball. The World Tour was a 62-day trip, including 25-games, and 110-clinic trips to India, Pakistan, China, and Japan. The team finished the summer tour with a record of 25-0. Head Coach and director of basketball at Springfield, Ed Steitz, led the clinics in the various countries.
