The Lawrence Memorial Park Cemetery (Lawrence, Kansas) produced this pamphlet for the dedication ceremony of the Dr. James Naismith Memorial. The memorial was designed and constructed by Granit-Bronze Inc., a corporation based in Cold Spring, Minnesota. The ceremony was held on Saturday, August 27, 1994. The events, which lasted from 1:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., included a visit to Dr. Naismith’s grave, a performance by the University of Kansas Basketball Band, the dedication of the memorial, and a reception for honorees and guests. The reception was held at the Lawrence Holidome. The final pages of the pamphlet list the memorial’s sponsors and the cemetery staff.
