A letter from Ralph L. Cheney to Harold L. Kimball written on May 6, 1918. In the letter, Cheney writes that he was very happy to receive word from Kimball but wishes he was told more. Cheney talks about old Springfield and how it is doing during the war. Ralph L. Cheney served as the head of Springfield College’s Secretarial Department from 1907 to 1924. Before taking this position, he worked as a YMCA secretary in Albany and Niagara Falls, New York. Harold L. Kimball (1888-1953) Born in Massachusetts, Harold attended Springfield College between 1917-1918 and 1921-1922 and may have completed a bachelors in humanics. After the war and Springfield coursework he moved California where he died on November 7, 1953.
