Wilbert E. Locklin and Jack Costello Sitting (March 9, 1970)
Description:
A photograph was taken on March 9, 1970, showing (from left to right) an unidentified man, Wilbert E. Locklin, and Jack Costello sitting next to each other on a couch in a room with a fireplace in the background. It is believed that the Springfield Union used this photograph in newspaper articles on the Black students' involvement in the Springfield College Massasoit Hall takeover. Handwritten on the back is "S.C. Massasoit Hall." Also, on the back, the date was initially stamped "March 10, 1970," but the 10 was scratched out and replaced with a 9. Handwritten on the back is "S.C. Massasoit Hall";
