  <mods:abstract>A two-page letter from John W. Jefferson to Laurence L. Doggett dated June 5th. In this letter, Jefferson tells Doggett of his experiences overseas, especially his time in Jerusalem. John William Jefferson graduated in the class of 1917. After graduating he joined the service and worked with the Y.M.C.A. during WWI in Egypt, Syria, and Palestine. When the war ended he worked as a National Physical Director for Malay States, Singapore, and Straits Settlements until 1940. He would die the next year (1941) in Perlis, Malaya.</mods:abstract>
