A photograph taken by United Press International of Hampden County Sheriff, John Curley, leading away Springfield College Black students who had taken over Massasoit Hall to demand equal treatment on the campus of Springfield college. The student directly behind the sheriff has his fist raised over his head. Students stand on either side of the door as they exit the building.
