  <mods:abstract>This is the Springfield College Athletics Wrestling brochure for the 2007-08 season. The brochure includes fast facts of the wrestling team, a bio for the head coach Daryl Arroyo, names of Springfield College All-Americans from the wrestling team, 2006-07 season honors, roster for the 2007-08 season, introduction to the wrestling program, introduction to the facilities, preview for the 2007-08 season, and 2007-08 schedule. The 2007-2008 Springfield College wrestling season was highlighted by the programs 900th dual meet victory on February 9th. Springfield become only the 4th NCAA wrestling program to reach 900 wins. Springfield is 4th on the All-Time wins list behind Oklahoma State, Iowa State, and Oregon State. The individual highlight was senior Elliot Smith placing 7th at the NCAA Division III National Championships to gain All-American status. Additionally, two Springfield College juniors, Chris Brown and Oscar Orellana, received recognition for their wrestling accomplishments and academic achievements by being awarded Scholar All-American status. Arroyo attended and wrestled for Springfield College, and was a Division II All-American his senior year. He graduated from Springfield with a Bachelor of Science in Health Fitness in 1984. He then served as an assistant wrestling coach at California State University, Fullerton for three years where he received his Master's Degree in Physical Education. At Springfield, he coached for 21 seasons, and ended his career with 301 wins, 160 losses and 6 ties, for a .651 winning percentage. He was named Coach of the Year in 1991, 1997, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2011.</mods:abstract>
