The man closer to the camera seems like to be giving a speech, and the podium in front of him says "Philippine International Convention Center," suggesting the location where the conference took place. Dr. C. Lynn Vendien was a professor of physical education at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and a leader in international and comparative physical education.
