These are notes taken during meetings regarding Xu Yingchao (徐英超), Hsu Ying-Chao (Class of 1937) as he was known when he attended Springfield College. There appear to be multiple meetings that occurred between January and May 1937. Attendees were Ma Yuehan (John Ma or Mo; 马约翰), Elmer Berry, George Affleck, and Frank Mohler. At these meetings they discuss credits and thesis possibility. The notes appear to have been taken by Elmer Berry, as there are initials after some of the notes. Xu Yingchao (徐英超), Hsu Ying-Chao (Class of 1937) as he was known when he attended Springfield College, was born in 1900 and died in 1986. He studied at Springfield College during 1936-1937. Xu got a Bachelors of Physical Education (B.P.E.) in the summer of 1937 and a Master’s of Physical Education in the Spring of 1938. Xu was a pioneer in Chinese sports statistics and the first to introduce sports statistics courses to university classes.
