  <mods:abstract>This is a document written by Springfield College's fifth president, Ernest M. Best. The article is entitled, "Trends in Teacher Education" and essentially identifies the current trends recognized by Best regarding the training of teachers. Best highlights eight current trends and explains what is meant by each one. Overall the article emphasizes that as society changes so too does the education of teachers as they need to be well-versed in a broader variety of subject matter. For more information on Ernest M.
