Description:
This is an undated, silent 16mm Springfield College Baseball team game film. The film consists of clips of Springfield College players batting and pitching. The film only shows the pitches and the at bats and is not continuous. It does not follow the ball if it is hit. It is not known whether this is one or multiple games. The technician who digitized the film states that it was shot at a high frame rate and therefore plays back slow, making it look like they are moving in slow motion. The entire film is 3 minutes and 5 seconds long. Parts of the film were definitely shot at the Springfield College baseball field, Weiser Hall, Locklin Hall, and Blake Hall are shown in the background. Digitization technician wrote, "very dark/grainy. shot at high frame rate. plays back slow."; Original reel had the following written on it, "Sullivan Batting Practice"; Film has been preserved. Original reel and housing has been replaced - original reel and housing has been thrown out.;
