This is a photographic print created by the Basketball Hall of Fame for the 100th anniversary of the creation of basketball (1991-1992) or when Dr. James Naismith visited Japan, ca. 1933. The photograph shows him standing with the Meiji University (Japan) basketball team surrounding him before the steps of a building. The text underneath says, "Basketball's Centennial, 1991-92 / Dr. James Naismith made many trips to foreign lands, including Japan where he gave a clinic.
