Three articles on Luther Halsey Gulick and/or James E. Sullivan from a scrapbook focused on Luther Halsey Gulick (Newspaper Clippings and other Articles, 1903-1908). They are the 21st, 22nd, and 23rd items within the scrapbook. Item number 21 is a News paper article, titled "Sullivan and Gulick on Physical Culture" published by the Brooklyn Citizen on August 29, 1903. It is the same article as item number 20, but complete. The article talks about James E. Sullivan, who was the chief of the department of physical culture at the World's Fair (Saint Louis, 1904), and Dr. Luther Gulick, at the time the Director of Physical Department for the Public Schools of New York, and two lectures that Gulick gave at a meeting about the upcoming World Fair and 1904 Olympics. They included a lecture on Machinery and muscular health and Clean Sport and more development of boys. Item number 22 is a one paragraph article, titled "Sullivan is at Lake Champlain", andwas published by the Evening Journal of Jersey City, N.J. on August 29, 1903, talk about the lectures as well which took place on Lake Champlain. Number 23, published by the St. Louis, Mo. globe-Democrat, talks about Gulick arriving in St. Louis, and was published on Sept. 18, 1903.
