Description:
A one-page letter from David D. Mattocks to Ralph L. Cheney, dated April 16th, 1919. In this letter, Mattocks tells Cheney about his Army experiences (which included meeting other Springfield men) and his work as he served as a secretary for different sections. He also writes that his plans for the fall are not complete and asks Cheney if he should change to the three-year course so that he can "get out into life.". Ralph L. Cheney served as the head of Springfield College’s Secretarial Department from 1907 to 1924. Before taking this position, he worked as a YMCA secretary in Albany and Niagara Falls, New York.
