A photograph of Lyman Wood and Edward Brennan standing arm in arm in front of the Brennan Center at Springfield College. On thhe wall behind them is a sign that says, "Brennan College Service.". The Brennan Center was purchased by Springfield College from Mr. and Mrs. Brennan on July 1, 1992. The single-level brick building is located one and a half miles from the main campus and was initially utilized by the Emergency Medical Services program (EMS) and the Physician Assistant (PA) Bachelor Degree Program. The Archives and Special Collections also relocated to the Brennan Center, where it remained until 2010 when it returned to campus to the newly renovated Judd Gymnasia. In the winter and spring of 2012, the 19,300 square-foot building underwent a $2 million renovation/expansion. Additions to the facility included electronically equipped classrooms with smart technology; a large, tiered auditorium-style classroom; a conference room with seating for 20 around an oval table; an airy, light-filled two-story lobby/lounge; a computer room; and various other facilities. During this time, the PA and EMS programs were moved back to campus to the first floor of Wilbraham Hall, now called Herbert P. Blake Hall, where these programs still remain. After construction, the School of Social Work moved into the newly renovated building, where it still remains. Written on back is, "Lyman Wood, Edward Brennan";
