A Jacob’s Pillow brochure for the University of the Dance from 1967. The brochure explains the course offerings for that summer, including a nine weeks, a six weeks, and a three weeks course for July and August, 1967. The brochure explains how the courses were eligible for college credit in an undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral level. Then there are descriptions and faculty lists of all three courses. Photographs of Ted Shawn, all faculty, and John Christian (executive director) can be seen in the brochure. Ted Shawn taught at Springfield College during the 1932-33 school year, and a number of Springfield College students went on tour with Shawn in the first all male modern dance troupe.
