A copy of the first page of an eight page report titled "Report on physical education in McGill University" by Robert T. McKenzie. This is the only page in the collection. In Physical Education (1892) edited by James Naismith and Luther Halsey Gulick, reviews this report saying "this report shows the relation of physical training to health, strength, scholarship, morals, in a most terse straightforward and satisfactory way." Robert T. McKenzie was the room mate of Dr. James Naismith while attending McGill University 1883-1888. He wrote "Reminiscences of James Naismith" which details his experiences with Dr. James Naismith. Dr. McKenzie gives a unique account of how Naismith impacted his life. As the best man for Naismith’s wedding, McKenzie is able to share insight from a personal perspective. This item has been digitized under ms506-01-14-001.
