This is photographic print of swimming coaches, including two from China, on the deck of a swimming pool. The photograph is dated March 11, 1980. From left to right is Gongcheng Chen, Director of Age Group Swimming in China, Jack Ryan, West Point Swimming, Yunpeng Chen, Later Coach of Olympic Team in China, and Springfield College Men's Swimming Coach, Charlie Smith. The pool and some swimmers can be seen behind them. Both Gongcheng and Yunpeng were part of Three coaches who first came over to China for coaching training from the All-China Sport Federation, People’s Republic of China, to train in Springfield College via the operation of National Committee on United State-China Relations on November 1978.
