Registered Students Report: African American attendance reports, memos, and letters
Description:
This is group of letters, memos, and reports collected and grouped by Olga Ellis, the registrar at Springfield College, regarding attendance at the College by African Americans from 1900 through around 1950. Many of the reports are by year and list all the students in attendance for that year by grad. Other reports list all students in attendance through the 1920s. The reports list their major, whether they graduated, sometimes listing the reasons they did not graduate, and some of their career or educational history after they graduated. The letters are requests for information and/or responses to requests for information. It was decided to not treat these items as individual items, but rather keep them together as a whole becuase this was how Olga Ellis arranged them. Know that they were not written as one report, but merely gathered together by Olga Ellis.; There are 34 pages in the folder. Page 29 is a repeat of page 28, so was removed from this document.;
