This is the application for admissions to the International YMCA Training School, now Springfield College, completed by Edwin P. Ruggles (Class of 1895). The application is dated September 2nd, 1891. It includes biographical, religious, past employment, and other related information. Edwin P. Ruggles is a member of Class 1895 of Springfield College (then known as International YMCA Training School). He was a member of the first men to ever play the game of basketball in 1891. Ruggles was born in 1873 in Milton, Massachusetts. He studied for the medical profession in the State University of Iowa, and earned his degree of M. D. in the Boston University School of Medicine in 1900. He became a practice physician after graduation.
