This slide shows a group of people led by Dr. Jesse Parks walking down Alden Street after the occupation of the Administration building on the campus of Springfield College that took place on May 14, 1969. In the group is a mix of students and outside people with connections to the college, like Tyrone (the brother-in-law of Ray Kromer, an Springfield College employee). Also identified (from right to left) was a student named Donald (back of the crowd with a larger Afro); Keith Waters (patterned shirt with glasses); Robert "Bob" McCarthy (directly behind Waters with face partially obscured). Behind Parks, to his right is John Woodruff; Don Brown (the right arm of Parks); and Janet Houston (the right arm of Don Brown with right arm extended). Off the right arm of Houston is Evan Flamer, and to the right of Flamer are Paulette Jefferson-Jones and Teresa Burr (far left). Both Houston and Jefferson-Jones can be seen wearing Springfield College T-shirts raising their arms. Vehicles and houses can be seen in the background.
