  <mods:abstract>A photograph of members of the Harlem Globetrotters and the New York Celtics at the La Perla Cigar and Cigarette Factory in Paranaque, Phillipines where they visited on September 3, 1952. Several other people are also in the photograph holding up cigarettes. Women working are in the background. Joseph Lyles can be seen in the back row second in from the right wearing a white shirt. The Harlem Globetrotters were celebrating their 25th anniversary in 1952 by touring the World. They played in 44 countries in 168 days and covered 58,849 miles! Lyles was a member of the New York Celtics. This team and the Harlem Globetrotters were the first professional basketball teams to ever tour the globe. For more information on Joseph F.
