A letter to the Springfield Massachusetts Y's Men's Club written by Fred Hoshiyama and dated March 19, 1943. The letter is addressed to Mr. Maurice Chaffin. The letter is in response to a March 3, 1943 visit and talk to Y's Men's club. It speaks directly to Hoshiyama's experience as a Japanese American who was detained in the Internment Camps in the United States after Pearl Harbor. Fred Hoshiyama was part of a special program that brought him and other young Japanese American Men to Springfield College to receive a College Degree during the war.
