<mods:abstract>A letter from Ralph L. Cheney to Samuel S. Trumpour written on March 2, 1918. In the letter, Cheney writes on behalf of the "Doctor" and says that the doctor is currently away. Cheney writes that it was good to hear from Trumpour and that there are Association leader positions available. Ralph L. Cheney served as the head of Springfield College’s Secretarial Department from 1907 to 1924. Before taking this position, he worked as a YMCA secretary in Albany and Niagara Falls, New York. Samuel Solmes Trumpour did not graduate from Springfield College. He would've graduated in 1916, but he left the college to make money to finish his course work. In 1915 he enlisted in the First Canadian Contingent to fight in World War I and was shipped overseas. Trumpour was wounded and taken prisoner. After the war he went to a Business College.</mods:abstract>
