Springfield College Baseball 1969 Badcock, Cervino, Steitz
Description:
The 16mm color film shows the 1969 Springfield College baseball team during a game against Curry College, a school from Milton, Massachusetts. Curry College's logo is known as the colonels, and that is what is said on the shirts of the team playing Springfield College, making it appear to be them. The film is a little under three minutes long, and it shows both teams pitching the baseball to home plate with a batter standing there attempting to hit the baseball. The film switches back and forth between the two teams hitting and fielding, which most likely represents different innings. Some of the players from Springfield College who appear in the film are Tom Badcock (the pitcher), and hitters Joseph Cervino and Steve Steitz. Film technician notes, "Good color. Good condition."
