  <mods:abstract>A photograph of Dr. Mimi Murray, a Springfield College professor, protesting at the Springfield Massachusetts Civic Center to demand that the Basketball Hall of Fame admit women into the Hall, ca. 1983. Dr. Murray is holding two signs. One says, "It's the Hall of Shame until Women are in it!" Other women are behind her also carrying signs. The first women to be inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame were Margaret Wade and Senda Berenson Abbott in 1985.
