A letter from Harold William Van Arsdale to Miss. Ida Wemple written on February 11, 1919. In the letter, Van Arsdale includes information about his military experience in the year of 1918. Harold William Van Arsdale graduated from Springfield College in 1917. In 1918 he would join the army and head overseas to fight in WWI until the end of the war in 1919. After the war he would become a Physical Director for Columbia High School for four years, after which he would become the Physical Director for the Y.M.C.A. of Elizabeth, New Jersey from 1923 to 1943. Finally he would become a Southwestern Representative for the National Recreation Association from 1943 to 1959 before retiring and eventually passing away in 1962.
