A portrait photograph of John F. Bovard, Ph.D. John F. Bovard was the director and dean of physical education for the Oregon State System of Higher Education and was also the Dean of the School of Physical Education at the University of Oregon. Bouvard received his Ph.D. from the University of California. He also wrote several books regarding physical education including "Tests and Measurements in Physical Education" and "Health, Fitness, and Dieting".
