<mods:abstract>This document is the admissions examination for the School for Christian Workers, for Thomas C. Clarkson. This form is for admission to the Training School for Sunday-School Workers and Pastor's helpers, which was after the YMCA Training School, now Springfield College, had split from the school. The three areas of the examination are arithmetic, geography, and grammar. There are five responses written on this document and a total of 27 questions. This examination was given to students who did not graduate from a high school or college. Thomas C. Clarkson, Springfield College Class of 1894, was born in Coatbridge, Scotland and moved to Merrick, Massachusetts as an adult. As a young adult he participated in the Iron Moulding business. He eventually became a doctor, practicing in Pawtucket, R.I. He died on March 17, 1933.</mods:abstract>
