  <mods:abstract>This is a black and white picture featuring a flagpole flying the American Flag on the Springfield College campus, ca. 1970-1980. The flagpole is located in an area what is currently called the Naismith Green. There are trees next to the flagpole. The picture was taken from Marsh Memorial, and on the right side of the picture is Woods Hall. In 2008, Woods Hall was demolished to make way for the construction of the Richard B. Flynn Campus Union which was dedicated on February 4, 2010. On the left on the picture is the East Gymnasium. Two cars are parked on the street in front of the Woods Hall. The gate to Pratt Field can be seen in the picture as well. On the back of the picture is a stamp with the following text: "Matt Grimaldi - Photographer - 242 Kenmore Dr.-Longmeadow, Mass."</mods:abstract>
