  <mods:abstract>This is a group photograph of seven people standing in front of the Springfield College (then known as International YMCA College) Administration Building. The college alumnus John Storey (center in the back row) is in the photograph. The four men in the photograph are wearing suits and ties and three women are wearing dresses. The photograph was likely taken in August, 1939, when John Storey visited Springfield, and was sent by Albert E. Neale, city auditor of Springfield, to President Ernest Best on October 3, 1939. John W. Storey was born in Dublin, Ireland, and graduated from the International YMCA Training School (now known as Springfield College) in 1906. He was the Boys’ Work Director of the Association in Yangon (Rangoon), Burma (Myanmar). He returned to Springfield, where he married his wife, in 1911. He then worked at various YMCAs in the US, before moving to Canada. He served churches in Canada before leaving for the UK where he was the Rector at Staplegrove for about 24 years.</mods:abstract>
