A piece of notebook paper with two newspaper articles on the death of Springfield College Alumnus, Arhtur G. Jeffrey (Class of 1920). They include a newspaper article published by the Pittsburgh Press on June 17, 1975 titled "Ex-Heinz House Director Dies" and an Article published by the Post-Gazette titled "A.G. Jeffrey, YOuth Center Ex-Director." Both talk about the death of Arthur G. Jeffrey on June 15 at hte age of 78, his career, specifically his time as the director of the Sarah Heinz House in Pittsburgh, and his family. Arthur G. Jeffrey was a graduate of the Class of 1920 from the International YMCA College, now Springfield College. He went on to work at the Sarah Heinz House in Pittsburgh, PA for 40 years; 28 years as the Director. Winner of numorous awards in youth work and social work, including the Tarbell Medallion (1946) from Springfield College, he had a long history in directing and administering boys' and girls' camps and working on youth issues.
