A slide of the iconic image of Alan Canfora waving a flag before national guardsman at the antiwar demonstrations that took place on May 4, 1970 at Kent State University. Moments later, members of the National Guard Opened fire on the demonstrators. Alan Canfora was one of the nine wounded. Four demonstrators were killed. The photo was taken by John Filo. This slide is part of a collection of 46 slides. On the sleeves that held the slides was the title "Campus Unrest". No other documentation was with the slides. It is not known whether these slides were part of a presentation or meant to be used as a group. When the slides were digitized it was decided that each slide would be regarded as an individual item rather than being kept together as a group.; Some of these images may have been taken in places other than Springfield College, so may be misidentified.;
