A photograph of Springfield College faculty dressed in their academic caps and gowns during commencement exercises in 2001. Pictures far left, against the wall is HPER dean, William J. Considine. The rest of the faculty members have not been identified at the time this image was uploaded. William J. Considine taught physical education and then served as dean of the school of health, physical education, and recreation at Springfield College from 1976 until his retirement in December 2007. After retiring, he continued to serve as a professor of physical education. Considine earned his B.S. from Western Illinois University (1964), his M.S. from Illinois State University (1966), and his P.E.D. from Indiana University (1970).
